ALLEZ SPORT CARTWRIGHT CHALLENGE SERIES – RACE 2
The Allez Sport Cartwright Challenge family fun runs continue to grow in size and popularity with 300 runners taking part in race 2 on Saturday 30th. Despite all the rain lately, runners were blessed with fantastic running conditions Sat morning with the sun even making an appearance.
The 10km event was the first to get under way, and Justin Taylor wasted no time in setting a cracking early pace. Chasing hard were Peter Bock and Sam Stowe. Just over half an hour later however, Bock proved his summer of training had left him in fine form to come home an easy winner in the sizzling time of 33.55. This was a new record for the M30-39 category, and only 7 seconds shy of the all time course record. Taylor continued to run hard and finished second with a very respectable 34.39.
